Hi! I’m Afton. I'm a Brooklyn-based animator and 3D designer aiming to embody playfulness in my work through bold, character-driven visuals. My work explores how joy, nostalgia, and imagination can live in distinct and accessible visual languages. I'm drawn to expressive color palettes, fluid motion, and storytelling that’s light-hearted, yet emotionally resonant.
I work primarily in Blender, but utilize a variety of programs in my work, often finding unique methods of combining digital sculpting with hand-drawn features. My process is iterative— I build my characters and environments like sets, layering detail until they feel alive.
I’ve had the special opportunity to study illustration, animation, and digital modeling at Parsons School of Design, where I will graduate with a BFA in Illustration in the Spring of 2025. While there, I was also given the pleasure of teaching 3D modeling and animation as a guest lecturer in the class, Core 3D Studio, and have found a passion for sharing the unique techniques and styles I’ve spent countless hours exploring with peers and future artists.
